Viridian City (トキワシティ; Tokiwa City) is a city in Kanto, and the closest city in Kanto to Indigo Plateau. To its north is Viridian Forest.

Viridian City is the site of Viridian Gym, where trainers can earn the Earth Badge after defeating Giovanni. However, sometime before events in the manga, Giovanni disappeared and Viridian Gym was left abandoned.
Red and Professor Oak in Viridian City
Red and Professor Oak briefly traveled to Viridian City together in an attempt to recapture the Pokémon Red mistakenly set free.
